Heal the soul of America first
And lording over this world

People of liberty, patriots of steel,
Heal thy quarrelsome hearts
Of this dreadful arousing.
Cleave this; your ceaseless punishment.
Abort the dreary blade of dominion
And a weight thou unfasten of thy weary hope.
Heal thy abhorrent soul first
And loving over this world
Shall easier toward God turn.
