Would you like to know what, in my opinion, is one of the main reasons we find this country seemingly plummeting toward the abyss?

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- The title of the course (at the now ABA accredited law school) was Constitutional Law, but the subject was sin. Before any casebooks were opened, a student led his classmates in a 10-minute devotional talk, completed with "amens," about the need to preserve their Christian values.
"Sin is so appealing because it's easy and because it's fun," the law student warned.
Yikes. This would be laughable... except for the fact that it's just so damned, unimaginably frightening. Same with this video...

Men and women out of the flames ascend
Rising like the cold grey breath of winter,
Praising "God" and life and death.
Their bones clack to Armageddon’s rhythm,
Their eyes perceive the Day of Judgment
Looming steady the bitter death of man.
Where is this rising of thy god?
Is it manifest in the blue?
Famine?
War?
Does it tread `neath the surging wave?
O! Bring out thy god and quench this thirst!
Summon thy god and feed this starvation!
O! Call unto it!
Have it burst forth and save the children!
Magnificent are men and women,
Humankind;
Mortal creatures and our gods.

DRIFTING UNDER THE SUN
VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia (AP) -- Evangelical broadcaster Pat Robertson said Tuesday that God has told him that a terrorist attack on the United States would cause a "mass killing" late in 2007.
"I'm not necessarily saying it's going to be nuclear," he said during his news-and-talk television show "The 700 Club" on the Christian Broadcasting Network.
"The Lord didn't say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that."
Robertson said God told him about the impending tragedy during a recent prayer retreat.
God also said, he claims, that major cities and possibly millions of people will be affected by the attack, which should take place sometime after September.
The gleaming gates have again swung wide
On the godforsaken orb drifting under the sun.
We should not listen to indifference any longer.
We should not listen to those with god-smacking jaws.
We should not listen to those with money and interests.
We should not regard the voices in their slumbering lechery.
We should only listen to our gut, heed only our crimson center.
And we most certainly needn’t listen to Pat Robertson’s treachery.
If, since 9/11, terror’s been unleashed on America it has been this;
Fear of: mass killings, assassination, stroke, wrath, and vengeance.
The sermonizing, amplifying, braying man straps God to his breath
And beats down upon the heads of fools starving themselves of love.
This fetid preacher isn’t speaking for anyone but those that live his lie;
"I have a relatively good track record," he said. "Sometimes I miss."
It is unmistakably and excruciatingly apparent that he is acting alone.

His god-smacking flock of cheerless sheep swill these tales of doom
Like children hopeful for candy or their warrior parent’s happy return.

And useless tales of His spoken voice plow holes for its grave...
