AMANDA
Amanda,
I thought your loss was horrendous,
As an eye glimpsing war through a prism,
A safe distance, detached and far away.
Where I stood, the bombs seemed like deaf children
Franticly signing with their noiseless hands
Upon the streets of an obscure, idle freedom,
Where I tried desperately to speak to you,
Fumblingly reaching out like a blind man
Fending off a swarm of callous wasp.
Amanda,
You wouldn’t hear me, you couldn’t see me,
But I was there, screaming for you to live,
My tongue was as thick
As the pavement I stood on,
And my feet, as heavy.
My frantic cries were an unspoken plea
To the men with their hands on the lever,
To the heartless, the sightless warrior,
The squatting powers and bending earth,
To an unleashed evil where noise breathes
Like the cold-blooded machinery of ruin.

Rolling along "G"...
AMERICA, BRING THY PAIN
(2:05 video)
O beautiful for spacious skies,
Run thy razor down my thighs
For amber waves of grain,
`cross my naked body bring thy rage
For purple mountain majesties
For I'm your slave
Above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
Rule my unclean body, mind and soul
And crown thy good with brotherhood
And bring thy pain to me
From sea to shining sea!
Bring thy pain to me!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet,
Whose stern impassion'd stress
I deserve thy punishing hand
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Thrust thy black-barreled love inside me
Across the wilderness!
I'm the terrorist you seek!
America! America! God mend thine ev'ry flaw,
No, Master! Do not stop
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
I beg of thee don’t rest
Thy liberty in law!
Bring thy shock
And bring thy awe!
O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
I'm undeserving
Who more than self their country loved,
Crack my fingers! Split my skull
And mercy more than life!
America! America! May God thy gold refine
Put me on the rack
Till all success be nobleness,
And lash then on my back
And ev'ry gain divine!
O Beautiful for patriot dream
She is most beautiful
And thou her king
That sees beyond the years
To the American dream
Thine alabaster cities gleam,
Bless me with thy freedom dear
Undimmed by human tears!
Run your blade
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
`cross my broken face
And crown thy good with brotherhood
Bring thy pain to me!
From sea to shining sea!

O! LEADER, SPRING FORTH!
O! Leader! Spring no leased justification of force. The world
Leans not for anguish of your triumphant resolve that is
As glowing as a three-legged dog forging pleasure.
Devotion is not some barren instance, but the disquiet
Of millions shammed by your sullied honor and head-patting.
The shackle and whip have their like foundation and
The wits in your pan and despotic fist paint grim.
Held out, they will grasp for paradise, yet hold and accept hell.
What use have you been? What tactic, save for terror seen
Now three-thousand souls too late? Devise no more lies and liars.
Provide only firm justice to the ears and eyes of those
Who have witnessed your increase by deceit and foolishness.
Be charitable now, offer it to these; our generations now fallen
And captured by your treachery. Wait no more! Kill no more!
No longer attempt to construct war; death before hope,
Instead, bring the delight of stars wonderment `cross the sky!
Transport hope, distribute peace; in them you’ll deliver truth.

Afghan attacks up despite truce
Tony Snow On NIE Report
Iraq War Has Acted as a "recruiting agent"

Drained of daylight, nature, warmth, truth.
Faces in the crowd, many old, many new,
Terrorists wearing expensive suits
Donning tooth-filled grins of empire's fidgeting certainty.
Bombs detonate, the crackle of guns,
The swooping sound of civil blade.
O God! Moan, cry, wail, scream!
O Allah! Where have they taken us?
Faces in the crowd, many old, many new,
Terrorists revolving bleached smiles' awkward ovation.
Gloom comes into the freshly whirled holes
As raging verve and drizzle splatter down
Their bitter death. O Jesus! Muhammad!
It settles into them, crazed and swirling!
Faces in the crowd, many old, many new,
Terrorists donning silk ties' determination.
O Death is quiet and life is loud and ferocious;
A union of opposites dividing the path.
War is ferocious!
O Christ! O Allah! It's too great!
Faces in the crowd, many old, many new,
Terrorists breathing out odious one-liners of duplicity.
O God! Allah! It is peace, not murder
Cradling mankind to your face!
Anger sloping into minds, coursing the oily well,
Yes, and then, forever comes a soundless rage,
Searing, thunderous …crowded.
